Public Installation for Whitenight

Journey was a collaboration with fellow artists; Dana Chisholm, Sophie Foster, Clare Gemima, Simon Lundquivst, Britti Absolum, Vincent Fasi, Tabitha Van Der Westhuizen, Sam Liu and Laura May.

 

As part of Whitenight 2016, free buses were made available to tour the art districts of Auckland. Commuting by public transport has become increasingly more popular in Auckland, but has it ever been exciting?

 

Adopting a kitsch aesthetic, via the use of scavenged treasure troves and magical objects, this work was intended to captivate and entertain public transport users of Parnell.
